New Item for Farmer’s Market Booth – Crostini

So, I made a Rustic Italian Bread, and I decided to go a step further with it, and make Crostini. Crostini are pieces of sliced bread, toasted to a crispy perfection, and can be topped with whatever your heart desires, from flavored butter, to flavored cream cheeses, to fresh fruits, veggies, meats, fish, or whatever else your heart desires If you’ve ever had crostini, what did you enjoy it with?

Come get yours at my next farmer’s market booth location. Please follow “The Grecian New Orleanian” on Facebook for times and locations. Have a blessed day everyone! 🙂

Sliced Rustic Italian Bread going into the oven. Notice how big the slices are.

Rustic Italian Bread becoming Crostini. Notice that as the bread starts drying out to become Crostini, it’s shrinking. Toast does that, too.

Rustic Italian Bread made into Crostini. Completed product. Thin, crispy, only made with flour, water, yeast, salt, sugar, olive oil, and breads were brushed with a tiny bit of egg whites before baked.
