Thank you to locally owned and operated, Mizers Supermarket in Slidell, for their generous donation of bottled waters and Spaghetti with Meat Sauce supplies for 200 people. Their donstion will allow me (and my sweet neighbor, Miss Brenda) to prepare hot lunches for the volunteers who will be gutting out a church in Baton Rouge, LA, that got 5 feet of water. Also, thank you to Pizza Depot Restaurant of Slidell, for their generous donation of 200 pieces of Garlic Bread. We will share whatever is left with neighbors in that area who also flooded. Many people have emailed me, sent text messages, Facebooked me, etc. with wanting to help. I just want to say God bless y’all. It will take a team of us to prepare, and you’re much appreciated. I’ve been on the receiving end, after Hurricane Katrina, and now it’s our turn to help. Prayers for all of those in flooded areas.
