You may do this already, but just in case you don’t, here is an idea to get your children to eat a little extra protein for one of their meals.
Using a stove top set to medium heat, once your grits are cooked and still hot, add a raw egg in there, and mix fast to make sure no solid pieces have time to create, and so that no grits burn to the bottom of the pot.
