One of my hubby’s favorite sandwiches is the Meatball Sub. This post is dedicated to him. Of course, everyone has their favorite toppings for putting on their sandwich, such as mayonnaise, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, black olives, cheese, etc., but I left this one plain, as is, so you can get the full effect. You can either enjoy this on a nice loaf of your favorite bread, or over pasta. Either way, it’s delicious, and hearty, and satisfying. This recipe will give you about one dozen meatballs, for a serving size of 3 per person, enough for 4 people. Here we go……

Step 1- For the Meatballs

1 pound lean ground beef

1 egg

1 cup Italian breadcrumbs

1 teaspoon sea salt

1 teaspoon black pepper (or less if you don’t want it too spicy)

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 tablespoon water

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon garlic powder
