One of the most popular appetizers in the Greek culture is the Greek meatball. This was almost a staple in our home as we were growing up. You can eat it by itself, with tzatziki (Greek yogurt dipping sauce pictured here), with pita bread, or French bread, with a Greek salad, or any other Greek appetizer dish. It complements many foods very well. Traditionally, the Greek meatball is fried, but in this recipe, we are going to bake them, and we are only going to use one egg, and panko bread crumbs as our bonding agent, giving us a moist meatball. One of the most important ingredients in the Greek meatball is the crushed mint, because it gives it that unique flavor.
