The Tuna Melt Patty

Delicious idea for another way to enjoy a tuna melt. This is for 2 or 4 servings. Here we go….

(2) 5 ounce cans solid white albacore tuna, packed in water

1/3 cup dry chopped onions, soaked in water to soften, and drained before added to tuna mix

1 egg

1/3 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

Dash of black pepper

Pinch of cayenne pepper

1 tablespoon freshly snipped parsley

Non stick pan

Non stick cooking spray

Mix all ingredients well. Shape into 4 patties. Spray pan. Preheat pan on medium high heat.  Place patties into pan and cook until toasty brown fir about 6 to 7 minutes on each side, carefully flipping over with spatula.  If patty falls apart,  don’t worry, reshape with spatula,  and as the cheese melts and brows, it will make your party stick together like a burger once done.  Eat as is, or on toast or bun, with your favorite toppings (we liked it with mayonnaise and lettuce). Enjoy!! ♡
