The 15 Minute Steak Fajita

Here is a delicious home-made version of steak fajitas that you can make in 15 minutes, using your own home-made seasoning. This recipe is for a serving of 4. For your steak choice, try to choose a lean but tender cut of beef. This recipe can be used with chicken as well. Here we go……

1 pound boneless lean beef, or chicken, cut into thin strips

2 whole onions sliced into long strips

1 whole green, red, or yellow bell pepper sliced into long strips

4 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil

1 tbsp chili powder

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon paprika

1/4 teaspoon dried oregano

1 1/2 teaspoons cumin powder

1 teaspoon sea salt

1/2 to 1 teaspoon of black pepper, depending on how spicy you want it

1 teaspoon sugar substitute, like Splenda, or 1 teaspoon sugar

4 whole wheat tortillas

cut up tomatoes mixed with chopped cilantro for putting into your fajita with meat mixture, optional

non stick skillet

Place all ingredients in your skillet, and saute’ for 15 minutes on medium high heat. Remove from heat, and let cool for a couple of minutes. Split meat mixture up into 4 and serve with whole wheat tortillas. Enjoy !!!!
