The Steak, Ham, and Swiss Sandwich

Easy and delicious just about sums this up. The mixture of the 3 flavors from the steak, ham, and Swiss cheese really compliment each other, and everything is made in one pan. This recipe is for 4 servings. Here we go…..

one pound thin and lean sirloin steak, sliced thinly, into small bite size pieces

sparingly sprinkle all pieces with onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper, and a little salt

4 teaspoons olive oil

4 thin slices of ham

8 thin slices of Swiss cheese

4 teaspoons mayonnaise

8 slices of whole wheat, high fiber bread

non stick pan


In your non stick pan, on medium heat, add your oil, meat, and seasonings, and cook for about 5-10 minutes, until meat no longer pink, but brown. Transfer meat to a plate, and carefully clean out your non stick pan with a napkin, replacing pan back on medium heat. It is now time to build your sandwich. Lightly spread mayonnaise on one side of each piece of bread. Next, add a slice of cheese, then your steak, ham, and then one more piece of cheese, and put second piece of bread spread with mayonnaise on top. Place your sandwich in your non stick pan, and toast on each side for a couple of minutes, until your cheese is melted, and your bread is toasted. That is it !!!!! Enjoy with your favorite salad for a wonderful meal.
