Who doesn’t love a nice refreshing drink after being out in the heat? I had offered some to my sweet neighbor as she was doing her landscaping, and she recommended I put it on my recipe blog, and so here we are. This is a perfect summer refresher, complete with some protein from your yogurt, and some fresh fruit to give you some vitamins for the day. This recipe is for 4 servings. Here we go….
1 cup strawberries
1/2 cup blueberries
1/2 cup no added sugar cranberry juice
1/2 cup apple juice
(2) 6 oz containers of a fruity yogurt (either regular or sugar free- I used Yoplait Mango Strawberry here-plus you can mix them if you like-like one peach and one strawberry)
3 cups of ice
orange slices for garnish (and enjoying afterwards)
Combine all ingredients in your blender until smooth. If smoothie is too thick, add a little water or juice, if it’s too thin, add a little more ice. That’s it !!! Enjoy, especially on a hot summer day to cool off !!!
