The Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing & Dip

In my opinion, one of the most popular salad dressings, or dips. This home made version can be made with vegetable oil during the fasting period, or with olive oil, during non fasting times. This recipe can be enjoyed as a salad dressing, or as a delicious dip with your favorite bread. I hope you use this recipe as much as I do. I try to make a little extra, since I already have all the ingredients out, so this recipe will make about 3/4 cup of dressing, but please use in moderation, around 2 teaspoons per serving. Easy to make. Here we go…

1/2 cup vegetable oil (or extra virgin olive oil)
1/4 cup good quality balsamic vinegar (good quality balsamic vinegar is a little thicker because it is sweeter, making for a better flavor, and less acidic tasting)
3 cloves crushed garlic, or about 2 teaspoons of jarred garlic
couple of dashes of salt
fresh cracked pepper
1/2 teaspoon Splenda or 1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning

Mix everything together, and beat with fork or whisk until combined. Store covered in refrigerator and use as needed. Enjoy !!!
